Booth
Colonies: One
Locations: Alphatech
Sungun – UEF hopeful
Value: Two
Purpose: Barren
Notes: The
Alphatech Sungun was recently destroyed. Believed to be Pirate Attack.
- Booth:
until recently, a small but prosperous
Mining and Research Colony, with a population of about 25,000 people.
Booth was the site of a major conflict where the colony run mining
corporation, Alphatech Sungun, was nearly completely destroyed. A
massive cargo freighter crashed landed through one of the domes containing
bioorganic warheads. When the PC arrived with a battalion, most of
the colony was destroyed. It is suspected that the Pirate clan known as
the Scarrats are responsible.
Bramon
Colonies: One
Locations: Devil’s
Peak
Value: Eight
Purpose: Outcast
- Bramon:
this world is very close to its sun, and the intense heat makes it
uniquely uninhabitable. The Colony survives by being buried under the
surface, and is protected by domes with multiple barriers that are highly
reflective. This keeps the heat to a bearable level.
·
Devil’s Peak:
a small manufacturing Colony built onto a hot, barren world with no atmosphere.
The very harshness of the environment is what lends the world its value; the
hard vacuum, the high temperature, and the extremely pure base minerals found
readily available here make it easy to produce critical parts for the drive and
power systems used in Spacecraft. This fragile Colony of 50 Thousand is
just a moment away from a disaster, because of the brutal conditions. Even if
all systems are properly maintained and the residents are very careful, an
unusually large solar flare could still be devastating; this possibility hangs
over the Colony like the threat of an earthquake, or some other natural
disaster. Spacecraft coming into the system stay outside Scorcher's orbit, and
special shuttles that can handle the extreme heat handle transportation to and
from the planet. Because of the special expense of this fleet, few
non-essential items are found at this facility. Prices for all items are four
times normal, while luxury items and non-essentials cost 20 times the regular
price.
Cameron
Colonies: One
Locations: None
Value: Two
Purpose: Outcast
- Cameron’s:
dusty atmosphere spurned a very old-style ranch colony. For decades, the
colony’s inhabitant’s exported livestock in the thousands via cargo
transport every six months. Even now, the inhabitants walk around the
unpaved roads in cowboy hats and riding steeds.
Capella
Colonies: One
Locations: Starfield
Value: Four
Purpose: Outpost
- Capella: was a region that became a
staging post for an investigation into the disappearances of many
exploratory probes. An independent colony ventured beyond what came to be
known as the Madusa Cluster, a large cluster of metreon
gas that surrounds the Capella System.
- Starfield: A
small farming and mining colony recently developed and equipped with
automated defence systems, because of the colony’s vulnerable positioning
in the Capella Sector.
Cortana
Colonies: One
Locations: Pardu
Meeting-ground
Value: Six
Purpose: Trade
Federation Exploratory Mining Outpost
- Cortana:
is locked in a perpetual ice age due to the limited warmth received from
its dwarf sun, even with its close orbit. The ice caps are particularly
large, and the planet overall is several degrees cooler than most
life-bearing worlds. The oceans of Cortana form a network of wide
waterways, not technically land-locked, but still not covering the
majority of the surface of the planet. The planet has considerable
variation between flat lowlands and steep, mountainous regions, forming a
number of natural barriers that divide the planet into numerous regions.
- Pardu
Meeting-ground: This is the site of exploratory
mining and drilling operations. The world's composition indicates that it
has potential as a source of several rare elements, and science crews are
still evaluating it. At present, only remote exploration sites are set up,
with teams from UEF and a number of Independent groups licensed to conduct
the research.
Cryosphere Stratus
Colonies: One
Locations: Alpha-One,
Alpha-Two, Alpha-Three and Alpha-Four
Value: Five
Purpose:
Peacekeeper Garrison System/Outpost
- Cryosphere
Stratus: is another Garrison System by the
Peacekeeper Corps. It is composed of Research Sections, Naval
Base/Stockyard and a deep space tracking station. There are on average 200
thousand Peacekeepers stationed here.
- Alpha
Series Domes: The domes are connected by a complex
system of monorails.
Kallinon
Colonies: Penal Colony
Locations: Kallinon
Correctional Facility/Toxic Waste Containment Centre
Value: Five
Purpose: Peacekeeper Penal Colony
- Kallinon:
is the location of the new Peacekeepers Maximum Security Correctional
Facility/Toxic Waste Containment Centre.
Sauron
Colonies: One
Locations: Ladon, Loc
Edra, Pyra and Glory.
Value: Five
Purpose: Outpost
- Sauron:
gas giant with a small Mining Consortium on her moons, Ladon,
- Ladon:
named after a Greek Dragon that served Hera. Ladon is a cold moon with an
un-breathable atmosphere, yet rich in Deuterium and carbon solid water.
This small Mining Company is composed of two enclosed communities of about
40,000 people each. It is primarily a Mining facility but doubles as a
spaceport for shipping to and from LASCAR Station.
- Pyra
and Glory: are rich in metals and other
minerals.
- Loc
Edra: a Star Port and first of the Domed cities,
where the enhabitants of Ladon openly trade and sale their water.
- Loc
Dagras: second of the Dome cities, where the
inhabitants of Ladon openly trade and sale their water.
Fiorina
Colonies: One
Locations: Rust
Junction
Value: Four
Purpose: Outpost
- Fiorina:
has a large expanse of barren rock, marked
by patches of scrubby vegetation, and the ruins of an abandoned mining
colony. Near the land-locked seas, there are lush rainforests and
agriculture, with pools of drinking water that are comparatively
expansive. The climate is generally hot and dry, and there are few large
bodies of water, so the major settlements are closer to the poles than to
the equator.
- Rust
Junction: is the name given to the settlement
located around what used to be a starport for the mining interests, though
most of the facilities were uprooted when the corporations left after all
the usable resources where mined. Now, it's just a loose collection of
shelters, and landing bays that consist of craters that provide varying
degrees of protection from the climate.
Futana
Colonies: One
Locations: Futana
Value: Four
Purpose: Outpost
- Futana:
is a modified planetoid with a small survey outpost. A concrete lattice
covers the entire planet. The star, Alamar, is a Red Giant, where
Futana orbits around it. The scientists and technicians here are
conducting general research on stellar exploration probes and supporting
equipment.
Helliot
Colonies: Two
Locations: West
Baraboza City, East Baraboza City, Darvish Garrison
Value: Five
Purpose: Peacekeeper Corps. Outer Rim
Political Centre
·
Helliot: A
centre-point for all Peacekeeper activity, a major key world, and the one place
that most people avoid. Helliot has often gone by the tagline, “Commit
any seven sins free!”
·
West Baraboza
City: is the political and military hub, where the CWN/UEF union plan out
its daily activities. Only the upper crust lives in the west. If
you live in the East, you are just the crust. Population: 2 million.
·
East Baraboza
City: is a virtually lawless gorge of drinking and debauchery. It is
also a large trading location, binding competition with the nearby Independent
Stations for the consumers’ business. The PC is more than proud of their
massive capital and their popular venues of entertainment. East Bar has a
massive Television industry. Rich tourists explore the wonders of West
Bar, never knowing how 95% of the population of over 5 million lives.
·
Darvish Garrison:
is a Service Base, with a small station set up to service ships
making the long haul through the Outer Rim Region. It is a full service port,
with the repair abilities and manufacturing, otherwise anything relating to
Spacecrafts. Population: 30 Thousand.
Kinja
Colonies: One
Locations: None
Value: Six
Purpose: Trade
Federation Service Outpost
- Kinja:
renown for its production of construction materials used in construction
of heavy goods. The metals include, plastics, Aluminium and Titanium. These
materials are used for the construction of engines, drives, power plants,
lifters, vehicles, etc. The atmosphere here is toxic, requiring
re-breathers to breath and domed buildings.
Pattoncourt Station
Colonies: One
Locations: None
Value: Four
Purpose: Trade
Federation Service Outpost
- Pattoncourt
Station: An artificial research and development
outpost station. Researchers are studying spatial phenomenon and hosts a
scientific college. At the college, students attempt to build fast
Solar-Sail vessels powered by interstellar winds.
Pentateuch
Colonies: None
Locations: Silo
Temple, Askanii Pyramid
Value: Six
Purpose: Ancient
Planet
- Pentateuch:
is a dry, sand-swept world considered by
many to be a magical planet, the ultimate wedding of magic and ancient
technology. There seems strong evidence that the founders deliberately
terraformed the planet to create ley lines and energy centres, although
most of these are little understood today, for there are little records of
their secrets. The Epistocle Order claims this world. Over the millennia,
volcanic eruptions have polluted the atmosphere beyond the ability of any
Atmosphere Processor to cleanse and the dim light that barely reaches the
surface keeping the planet in constant twilight.
- Silo
Temple: Ancient remains of a crippled dynasty. The
temple is in ruin from years of exposure and lack of care.
- Askannii:
a great pyramid amid an ancient temple city.
Rexel
Colonies: Two
Locations: Sarta
Station and Takiami Station
Value: Five
Purpose: Trade Federation Service Outpost
·
Rexel: a
cold, dead planet with a toxic atmosphere rich in Nitrogen, Iridium and Helium
3. Massive collectors that tower over the vast network of underground caverns
harvest these.
·
Dedoleth
Platform: High above the wasted world of Rexel, this platform is home to a
number of researchers and technicians who take advantage of the poisoned
atmosphere of the planet below.
Sargon
Colonies: Three
Locations: Shinan,
Donevora, Port Alckestrey and Hannannii Temple
Value: Five
Purpose: Outpost
- Sargon:
is a moderately populated terrain. It is a large producer of rare
agricultural goods and fertilizers and has several thriving, yet small gem
and diamond mine. Rich dense forests cover its surface, and diverse fauna
abound. There are three major Starports,
- Shinan,
Donevora, and Port Alckestrey: are the three
Starports that exist on the surface. Donevora is the largest and the
busiest. However, Port Alchestrey is the busiest in regards to
illegitimate traffic.
- Hannannii
Temple: is a large Pyramid, located in the
wilderness near Port Alchestrey.
Sarta
Colonies: Two
Locations: Sarta
Station and Takiami Station
Value: Six
Purpose: Trade Federation Service Outpost
- Sarta:
A dead ocean planet with a single rocky
island. On this island, the domed city of Sarta Station supports a small
population of Minors and Technicians. Aerodyne Corporation mines much of
the raw materials they need to build spacecrafts.
- Takiami
Station: An artificial planetoid that was created
and is owned exclusively by Aerodyne Corporation. Aerodyne Corps. has
moved many of its highest-ranking personnel aboard this station for
security and guidance. Much of Aerodyne’s new communications equipment and
business software is being designed and tested here.
Tasus
Colonies: One
Locations: Loc Mauley,
Emerson Station
Value: Four
Purpose: Trade
Federation Outpost
- Tasus:
the architecture of the planet is like nowhere else in the known galaxy,
with its graceful dense forest spires of limestone and obsidian
stalagmites that reach beyond the clouds; topped with beautiful fountains
miles high, above the perfect gardens and wide natural promenades on the
surface. The UEF has determined that Tasus would be classed as a jump
station site, even though it has a breathable atmosphere.
- Loc
Mauley: is a small Titanium mining operation. The
civilian population here is 30,000, and the economy is heavily dependent
on the UEF fleet. Laws governing the sale and possession of weapons are
largely ignored, and just about any kind of military hardware is available
here, for the right price.
- Emerson
Station: UEF Jump Station. Emerson Station also
serves as a Service Base. It is an efficient and well-stocked Station,
with spare parts and Technical Crews capable of supporting industries on
the surface. They are beginning to produce small Spacecrafts and
shuttlecrafts.
Theus Novat
Colonies: Three
Locations: Pedal’s
Hope, Point Hope, Pedal’s Point
Value: Four
Purpose: Trade Federation Mining and
Security Outpost
- Theus
Novat: is a terrain world of rolling plains, tall
grasses, hills, and abundant canyons. It is primarily a UEF controlled
Security outpost with critical supplies being provided by HYPERDYNE
SYSTEMS. The large colony on its surface basically is comprised of
towers spiralling above the canopy of trees. A Customs and security
compound has been added onto the old Mining station, and space defences
are also being set up. Hyperdyne is running these, although some people
question whether Hyperdyne really wants to halt the illegal activities.
- Pedal’s
Hope, Point Hope, Pedal’s Point: All small mining
communities.
Traon
Colonies: One
Locations: Futana
Value: Four
Purpose: Trade
Federation Service Outpost
- Traon:
is a Service Base and focuses on the exploration craft fleet, which are
investigating the vast asteroid belts of the Helix system. These craft are
owned by several different Corporations and independents, and typically
have crews of 3 to 8 people, and go on extended missions of up to 2 years
deep into the belts. Thousands of asteroids have been explored and
plotted, and many bear rich mining deposits. At present, the mining claims
on these asteroids are being bid on at Traon, and there will soon be
full-scale mining operations throughout the system. Dozens of Corporations
are interested in the mining rights in the system, and the Peacekeeper
Corps, will certainly be called in to monitor disputes. Most of the
contracts call for minimum production levels and schedules, or the
forfeiture of all rights; UEF officials expect that some smaller firms
will be sabotaged, and will be swallowed up by larger competitors.
- Futana:
is a massive doughnut-shaped Operations Station with much of its space and
budget put toward Research, Mining and Defence. Futana houses over 40
Thousand troops and another 20 Thousand technicians and scientists.
It contains one of the largest Biolabs in the Outer Rim Sector.
Veridian
Colonies: One
Locations: Starview
Outpost
Value: Four
Purpose: Outpost
- Veridian:
an aquatic world, rich in resources and aquatic life. The vast majority of
the surface is covered by water, and the marine life is varied and
wondrous, producing many delicacies. Rumors persist of a sentient race
living in the oceans, but no definitive proof has been discovered. This is
one of the rare worlds that required little terraforming, and is said to
hold many unspoiled secrets beneath its waves.
- Starview Outpost:
is a grouping of numerous research stations
scattered around the world. Some are floating stations as others are built on
the few stable land masses found on Veridian. Scientists and technicians mostly
occupy these Stations. The purposes of these sites vary, but most have to do
with the origins of life and how it adapts. Biosynthesis and bioengineering
specialists from many different Corporations have come to this world to
experiment, and have leased sectors of these stations.
